Loreta Zubas-Team Member

Loreta Zubas

Loreta Zubas has gained a wide range of experience through more than 30 years of helping clients avoid or resolve legal issues. Her preferred practice is Employment law. She has worked in the field since 1985 and is certified as a Specialist in Civil Litigation. After completing a Bachelor of Environmental Studies at University of Waterloo, Loreta graduated with a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Ottawa in 1983. She received a Master of Laws degree in 2003 from Osgoode Hall Law School.

In the area of employment law she acted as counsel for employers and employees in civil actions for wrongful dismissal, breach of employment contract and other related matters. As a civil litigator she has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in actions, applications and appeals in lawsuits concerning breach of contract, tort and negligence.

Sylvia Samuel-Team Member

Sylvia Samuel

A skilled advocate, Sylvia Samuel has represented both employees and employers on employment disputes and related litigation, ranging from unjust or wrongful dismissal to misappropriation of corporate opportunity by departing employees and executive compensation.
Sylvia has appeared at levels of court in Ontario and before administrative tribunals. Her strategic, results-oriented approach to dispute resolution blends superior advocacy skills, technical legal expertise and sound judgment to achieve success for her clients, whether at trial, mediation, or through negotiation.

Lambert Boenders-Team Member

Lambert Boenders

Lambert Boenders graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) from Victoria College at the University of Toronto and received his LLB/Juris Doctor from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1994. He brings over 25 years of employee management experience in retail and insurance operations. This background, coupled with his legal training , has been extremely useful in understanding both client and employer perspectives from a practical hands-on workplace point of view. Lambert is on the SOGIC executive with the Ontario Bar Association and is fluent in English, French and Dutch.

Daniel Hassell-Team MemberDaniel Hassell

Daniel Hassell graduated from McGill University with a Bachelor of Arts and received his Bachelor of Laws from the University of Waikato, New Zealand. Daniel’s practice involves a wide range of employment law subject matters, including workplace bullying, executive compensation arrangements, employment standards and human rights. He assists both employees and employers in contract interpretation, legal research and drafting. Daniel regularly attends mediations in the course of civil litigation, Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario applications, Canada Labour Code complaints and independent negotiations.

Ted Flett

Ted is committed to delivering collaborative legal solutions for his clients. Trained at a Bay Street national Firm, Ted combines his passion for the law and problem solving with his education and experience to deliver results to clients with a workplace or human rights issue. Ted makes his client’s issue his to resolve. He has worked in both the private and public sectors and brings that experience and insight to his practice. Though an able litigator, Ted prefers to explore more cost-effective and efficient strategies for his clients, including negotiation and mediation. Following undergraduate degrees in honours arts at McMaster University and journalism at Ryerson University, Ted attended the University of New Brunswick’s law school where he graduated as valedictorian.
